Eversolo Play CD Edition All-in-One Streaming Amplifier
Overview
The Eversolo Play CD Edition is an all-in-one streaming amplifier with a built-in CD drive: add passive speakers and you have a complete system for streaming, CDs, vinyl, and TV sound in one compact aluminium unit. It integrates an original Hitachi-LG CD-ROM assembly in a vibration-dampening chassis, with Eversolo's error-correction algorithms to help with scratched or older discs, and its CD Ripper copies your discs to storage for streaming-style playback.
Inside, AKM's 32-bit AK4493SEQ DAC with VELVETSOUND technology feeds a Class D amplifier using PurePath Ultra HD technology, rated at 60W per channel into 8 ohms and 110W into 4 ohms, enough to drive a wide range of bookshelf speakers. Eversolo rates THD below 0.0037% and signal-to-noise above 109dB. A 15-band graphic EQ and 10-band parametric EQ with independent left and right adjustment, room correction using a measurement mic or your phone's mic, and bass management for a subwoofer let you tune the sound to your room.
Connections cover almost everything a modern system needs: HDMI ARC/eARC for your TV, optical and coaxial inputs, an analog line input, an MM/MC phono stage for a turntable, Bluetooth 5.3, and two USB 3.0 ports for drives. There's a subwoofer output with a 40 to 500Hz crossover, a USB audio output for an external DAC, a coaxial output, and a trigger input. Streaming support includes Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz Connect, with multi-room playback across Eversolo Play units.
