DALI SONIK 7 Floor Standing Tower Hi-Fi Speakers - (Pair)
Overview
The DALI SONIK 7 is a floorstanding speaker built for medium to large rooms, pairing two 7-inch woofers with DALI's Hybrid Tweeter for deep bass, articulate mids, and detailed highs. DALI says it stands out in the SONIK series for natural, lifelike sound, and it works equally well in a stereo hi-fi system or as the front channels of a home theatre.
The Hybrid Tweeter combines a 29mm low loss soft dome with a 17 x 45mm planar magnetostatic tweeter, extending the frequency range to 30kHz and giving wide dispersion so the sound stays crisp wherever you sit. Its bass and midrange drivers use DALI's Clarity Cone, a paper and wood fibre cone inspired by the company's flagship KORE technology, which DALI says gives lightweight rigidity, superior resonance control, and a more realistic, uncoloured upper midrange. DALI's patented SMC Essential Magnet System places SMC material directly in the voice coil's working zone to minimise hysteresis and eddy currents for a cleaner, more relaxed midrange.
SONIK 7 covers 36Hz to 30kHz (±3dB) with 88.5dB sensitivity, a 6-ohm nominal impedance, and a maximum SPL of 110dB. It uses a 2 + ½-way crossover at 2,300Hz and 14,000Hz, and DALI recommends amplifiers from 30 to 180 watts.
Simcoe Audio Video Insight
SONIK 7 is the SONIK model to look at when the room is bigger or you want more scale than the SONIK 5 delivers. The Hybrid Tweeter is the main difference you'll hear: more extended, airy treble with wide coverage across the listening area. In a home theatre, it makes a strong front pair alongside the SONIK Cinema centre channel.

Buyer's Guide
Who It's For
- The Medium-to-Large Room Listener: Wants speakers with the scale to fill a bigger space.
- The Detail-Focused Listener: Wants extended, airy treble from the Hybrid Tweeter.
- The Home Theatre Builder: Wants front speakers with authority and clarity.
How It Compares
SONIK 7 sits between the slim SONIK 5, with two 5¼-inch woofers and a soft dome tweeter, and the SONIK 9, which uses three 7-inch woofers with the same Hybrid Tweeter and reaches down to 34Hz.
