Overview
The DALI SONIK 5 is a slim two-way floorstanding speaker that brings deep bass, clear mids, and airy highs to small and medium-sized rooms without taking over the space. It pairs two 5¼-inch woofers with a wide-bandwidth 29mm soft dome tweeter in a slim, elegant cabinet.
Its bass and midrange drivers use DALI's Clarity Cone, a paper and wood fibre cone inspired by the company's flagship KORE technology, which DALI says gives lightweight rigidity, superior resonance control, and a more realistic, uncoloured upper midrange. Behind the cone, DALI's patented SMC Essential Magnet System surrounds a hybrid iron-SMC pole piece with a ferrite ring, placing SMC material directly in the voice coil's working zone. DALI says this minimises hysteresis and eddy currents for a cleaner, more detailed, and more relaxed midrange.
SONIK 5 reaches down to 39Hz and up to 26kHz (±3dB), with 88dB sensitivity, a 6-ohm nominal impedance, and a maximum SPL of 108dB. DALI recommends amplifiers from 30 to 150 watts, and it works in a stereo system or a compact home theatre.

SONIK 5 is the SONIK model for people who want the scale and bass of a tower in a room where a big cabinet would feel out of place. The twin woofers give it noticeably more bass weight than the SONIK bookshelf models. Give it some space from the back wall to start, then adjust closer or further to suit the bass in your room.
