DALI KATCH G2 Portable True Hi-Fi Bluetooth Speaker
Overview
The DALI KATCH G2 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built to bring real hi-fi sound to the kitchen, the deck, the cottage, or a hotel room. DALI calls it perhaps the best-sounding battery-powered portable Bluetooth speaker you can experience, and it won What Hi-Fi Awards in 2022 and 2023.
It's easy to live with. Pair your phone over Bluetooth 5.0, or tap to connect with NFC, and it supports aptX, aptX HD, and AAC for better wireless sound from compatible devices. A 3.5mm mini-jack input handles non-Bluetooth sources, and a USB charge connector lets you top up your phone while you listen. Two sound profiles let you choose a neutral sound for most situations or a warmer sound for larger rooms.
The battery plays for up to 30 hours at normal volume and recharges in about two hours with the supplied charger, and DALI says it plays louder with more energy when plugged in. Drivers on both sides of the cabinet spread sound around the room, and if you add a second KATCH G2, True Wireless Stereo mode turns the pair into a proper stereo system.
Simcoe Audio Video Insight
KATCH G2 makes the most sense for people who care how their music sounds but still want something they can carry from room to room or out to the dock. Try both sound profiles: neutral is great close up, while the warm setting helps fill a bigger space. If you listen at home a lot, keep it plugged in for extra output, and consider a second unit for True Wireless Stereo.

Buyer's Guide
Who It's For
- The Music Lover on the Move: Wants hi-fi sound in a speaker that travels.
- The Cottage or Deck Listener: Wants long battery life away from an outlet.
- The Small-Space Listener: Wants one compact speaker, or a stereo pair, for a condo or office.
How It Compares
Most portable Bluetooth speakers put durability and loudness first. KATCH G2 is built around sound quality from a hi-fi speaker brand, with aptX HD support, two sound profiles, and the option to pair two for true stereo.
