Overview
The Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S3 is the centre channel speaker for the 600 Series, built to anchor a home theatre around the 603 S3 tower and the rest of the 600 S3 range. B&W describes it as small enough to fit convenient spaces in your home, yet capable enough to partner with the 603 S3.
Dialogue lives in the centre channel, so this is the speaker doing the heaviest lifting in most movies and shows. The HTM6 S3 is a 2-way vented-box design that pairs B&W's all-new Titanium Dome tweeter with twin 5-inch Continuum cone bass/midrange drivers. B&W says the tweeter combines resolution with smooth, refined high-frequency reproduction, and that the Continuum cone delivers voices and instruments with precision and transparency.
The tweeter sits behind a more acoustically transparent grille mesh first developed for B&W's Signature models, and the speaker terminals are derived from the 700 Series, with an improved layout and a cleaner signal path to your amplifier.

B&W's manual recommends placing the HTM6 S3 directly below or above the screen, as close to ear height as possible, or behind the centre of an acoustically transparent projection screen. If it sits on a shelf or in a rack with other AV gear, fit the four self-adhesive rubber feet included for a degree of vibration isolation. Matching it with 600 S3 left and right speakers keeps the tonal balance consistent as sound pans across the front of the room.
