Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 Bookshelf Speakers - (Pair)
Overview
The Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 is a compact 2-way bookshelf speaker from the 600 Series that B&W calls ideal for smaller spaces. It pairs B&W's new Titanium Dome tweeter with a 5-inch Continuum cone bass/midrange driver.
B&W designed it for music listening or for surround sound as part of a home theatre system, and mainly for its FS-600 S3 floor stand, though it can sit on a shelf. The tweeter sits behind an acoustically transparent grille mesh first developed for B&W's Signature models, a Flowport vent handles the low end, and the terminals borrow their improved layout and cleaner signal path from the 700 Series.
B&W rates the 607 S3 at 52Hz to 28kHz (±3dB) with 84dB sensitivity and an 8-ohm nominal load, suited to amplifiers from 30W to 100W. Stands are sold separately.
Simcoe Audio Video Insight
The 607 S3 works well where space is tight, or as surrounds behind a 603 S3 or 606 S3 front stage. If they have to sit on a shelf or close to a wall, fit the supplied foam plugs in the ports to keep the bass in check. The terminals support bi-wiring or bi-amping once the links are removed.

Why the Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 Stands Out
Titanium Dome Tweeter
B&W's new Decoupled Double Dome Titanium tweeter, behind a grille mesh first developed for its Signature models.
5-Inch Continuum Cone Driver
A Continuum cone bass/midrange that avoids the abrupt transitions of conventional cones, for open, neutral voices and instruments.
Flowport with Foam Plugs
Supplied foam plugs fit the port to reduce bass on a shelf or near a wall.
700 Series-Derived Terminals
An improved layout and cleaner signal path, with links you can remove for bi-wiring or bi-amping.
Music or Surround Duty
B&W designed it for stereo listening or as surround speakers in a home theatre.
Buyer's Guide
Who It's For
- The Small-Space Listener: Wants proper hi-fi sound in a bedroom, office, or smaller living room.
- The Home Theatre Builder: Wants surround speakers for a 600 Series system.
- The Bi-Wire Enthusiast: Wants terminals ready for bi-wiring or bi-amplification.
How It Compares
The 607 S3 is the compact 600 Series stand-mount; the 606 S3 steps up to a 6.5-inch Continuum cone for larger rooms. B&W's 707 S3 also uses a 5-inch Continuum cone but pairs it with a Decoupled Carbon Dome tweeter.
