Audioquest Blueberry 18GBPS HDMI Cable

Overview

A 4K TV, streaming box, or receiver needs an HDMI cable that can carry the full signal reliably. The AudioQuest BlueBerry 18 HDMI cable is guaranteed to have the 18Gbps bandwidth required for 8K/30 video, HDR (High Dynamic Range) imagery, and eARC.

It uses solid Long-Grain Copper conductors, which defeat the electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interaction AudioQuest identifies as a major source of distortion, with AudioQuest's Level-1 Noise-Dissipation. All 19 conductors, from the audio/video and eARC pairs to the ground-reference drains and control and power lines, are direction-controlled for efficient dissipation of radio-frequency noise.

eARC sends audio from the TV back to a soundbar or receiver, and AudioQuest notes it is easier to use than standard ARC and enables lossless multichannel audio. In BlueBerry, the eARC conductor pair is internally direction-controlled for better audio performance.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

BlueBerry's plugs are marked with arrows. For the best noise dissipation, AudioQuest recommends running them pointing toward the TV, or from the source toward the AV receiver. If your system includes 4K/120 or 8K/60 gear, step up to one of AudioQuest's 48Gbps HDMI cables instead.

Why the AudioQuest BlueBerry 18 HDMI Cable Stands Out

18Gbps Bandwidth Guaranteed

Enough bandwidth for 8K/30 video, HDR imagery, and eARC.

Solid Long-Grain Copper

Solid conductors defeat electrical and magnetic strand-to-strand interaction, a major source of distortion in cables.

Level-1 Noise-Dissipation

Direction-controlled conductors and advanced materials help keep noise from Wi-Fi and cell devices out of the signal.

19 Direction-Controlled Conductors

All 19 conductors are controlled for efficient RF-noise dissipation.

Direction-Controlled eARC Pair

The eARC pair is internally direction-controlled for better audio performance to a soundbar or receiver.

Marked for Direction

Arrows on the plugs show the recommended direction: toward the TV, or from the source to the AV receiver.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The 4K Streamer: Connects a streaming box, Blu-ray player, or cable box to a 4K TV.
  • The Soundbar Owner: Uses eARC to send TV audio to a soundbar or receiver.
  • The Box-Cable Replacer: Wants a well-built HDMI cable in place of the generic one in the box.

How It Compares

BlueBerry 18 is an 18Gbps cable for 4K and 8K/30 systems. For 4K/120, 8K/60, and gaming features such as VRR and ALLM, AudioQuest's 48Gbps cables, starting with Pearl 48, are the right choice.
