Audiolab 7000N Play Network Media Streamer
Overview
Adding streaming to a hi-fi system should be as simple as adding a CD player once was. The Audiolab 7000N Play is a wireless network streamer from Audiolab's 7000 Series that brings Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, internet radio, and your own music library to any amplifier through analog or digital outputs.
It runs on DTS Play-Fi, so you can stream from phones, tablets, PCs, and NAS drives, and expand into a multi-room system with other Play-Fi products from many brands. Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect are built in too, and gapless playback keeps albums flowing without pauses between tracks.
Inside, an ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M reference DAC and an isolated power supply handle conversion, with a variable analog output and coaxial and optical digital outputs. A 2.8-inch colour IPS screen shows the streaming service, format, and track details, and it can display analog or digital VU meters.
