Audeze LCD-2 Planar Magnetic Headphones with Hand-finished Padauk Rings
Overview
The Audeze LCD-2 is the planar magnetic headphone that started it all for Audeze back in 2009, and this version carries the classic hand-finished Padauk wood rings that have defined the LCD-2's look since the beginning. A dual-sided staggered magnetic array and Audeze's patented Fazor waveguides work together to deliver low distortion and precise sonic imaging.
The tuning is warm and rich, with a deep, punchy low end and a midrange that stays lifelike and natural. A ventilated suspension headband and updated earpads make the LCD-2 more comfortable over long sessions than earlier versions of the design.
Each pair is still hand-built in Audeze's Southern California workshop, and includes a standard LCD travel case along with a 4-pin XLR cable and 1/4" and 3.5mm adapters.
