Overview
Some speakers are hard to drive, and they show it as soon as the music gets dynamic. The Anthem STR Power Amplifier is a Made-in-Canada flagship two-channel amplifier delivering 400 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 600 watts into 4 ohms, and 800 watts into 2 ohms, with both channels driven.
A true dual-mono design with two transformers keeps each channel's power supply separate, and sixteen bipolar output devices per channel handle low-impedance loads. Anthem's proprietary cascoded complementary feedback input stage supports linearity and wide bandwidth, and a 7-inch graphic display shows power output, status, and navigation.
Advanced Load Monitoring (ALM) continuously monitors temperature, current, and voltage and engages only under extreme conditions. A sequence-controlled soft turn-on manages in-rush current to protect your electrical system, and the amplifier can switch on by trigger, manually, or automatically.
