Overview
A serious two-channel system usually means a stack of separate boxes and the cabling between them. The Anthem STR Integrated Amplifier puts a full preamplifier, a high-current power amplifier, and a leading-edge DAC in one Made-in-Canada chassis, delivering 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 400 watts into 4 ohms, and 550 watts into 2 ohms.
Anthem Room Correction (ARC Genesis) uses a precision microphone to measure your room and optimize the frequency response, correcting the room effects that blur bass and imaging. A customizable bass manager handles mono or stereo subwoofer outputs, so one or two subs blend properly with your main speakers.
Dedicated moving magnet and moving coil phono inputs sit alongside coaxial, optical, and balanced AES/EBU digital inputs, and lower-resolution digital sources are upsampled to 24-bit/192kHz. The asynchronous USB input handles 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD 2.8/5.6MHz, and a high-resolution TFT display shows system status at a glance.
